Day 75 Universal Studios Singapore

Friday 16 March
Despite the very late night ( or early morning!) we'd  had the night before we needed to be up and moving as our plan was to visit Universal Studios on Sentosa Island. Sentosa is the fun place for Singapore and there is a huge range of things to do there of which Universal Studios is just one.
We took the MRT to harbourfront station. This comes put at the bottom of a big shopping mall and to get to Sentosa there are three options. A long walk, take the cable car (most expensive way) , or the Sentosa express. This is  a mono rail and the most popular way of moving on to the island. It's $4 using the ez card and goes from the 3rd floor of the mall. It was pretty crowded but Universal Studios is the first stop and as we were pressed against the doors, I got to see the harbour with the cranes and shops on the journey.
There is no need to pay full price for a ticket. 10% discount is pretty standard and can be got readily online or simply by presenting the free map of Singapore, there were no queues to buy our ticket and only a short wait to get into the park.
We went straight to sci fi world where the biggest rides of the park are and got on to Humans. After depositing bags and loose items in the lockers as instructed. The wait time was 20 minutes. Only it wasn't. An hour later we came out and so for the first time ever we purchased express tickets to let us reduce our wait time once for each ride.
We had a fun day!
Cylons is easily the best ride in the park with Transformers, the Rapids and the Mummy coming in next.

There was quite a queue for the sentosa express at the end of the day but luckily it cleared quickly. We had a wander around the shopping plaza and discovered a small supermarket  on the 1st floor. So we bought breakfast for the next two days before hopping back on the MRT and home.
